Later proceed to Sigiriya and visit palace and garden complex centred on a 200 meter high rock that is a glowing tribute to the vision of King Kashyapa who created this 'Palace in the Sky' in the 5th century AD. Today travel to Kandy. En route visit Aluvihara Temple at Matale where Buddhist preaching was recorded for the first time in the history of Buddhism in 2nd century BC. Evening you will go to see the Kandyan traditional dance and then to the Temple of Tooth Relic, the most sacred place in Sri Lanka where the Tooth Relic of the Buddha is kept. After breakfast travel back to Colombo via Nuwara Eliya. En route visit a Tea factory and see waterfalls in Ramboda.
