Kathmandu & Wildlife - (06 days)
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu
On arrival assistance by our representative and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu
Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is one of the world's oldest cities. The old part of the city, with narrow medieval streets and lovely little shrines, centers on the Durbar Square (durbar being the Nepali word for 'palace'). Here one can find distinctive pagoda-roofed temples, stone sculptures, old monasteries and historic monuments. It has more than 100 important monuments and rewarded the status of "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO in year 1979.
After breakfast proceed for city sightseeing tour and visit Pashupatinath (5th century temple is now one of most important religious site for Hindus), Baudhanath (This 8th century Buddhist stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia), Swayambhunath (It is belief to be more than 2500 years old), Durbar Square (The former residence of the king). Dinner and overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu
After breakfast enjoy an excursion to Patan and Bhaktapur. The city of Patan lays 5 kms away from Kathmandu and its surroundings provide a very good example of ancient newari architecture. The city of bhaktapur is situated approx 10 kms from Kathmandu. The main attraction of Bhaktapur is its 15th century palace and Durbar Square. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 04: Kathmandu - Royal Chitwan National Park
After breakfast travel to Royal Chitwan National Park. The National Park is spread in around 932 sq. kms and is the most popular safari destination in Nepal. It covers a unique ecosystem in the world, containing the Churia hills, ox-bow lakes and flood plains. Dominated by sal forests, the park has 50 species of grasses. The 43 species of animals include the endangered one-horned rhino, royal Bengal tiger, gharial crocodile, gaur, wild elephant, four horned antelope, striped hyena, pangolin, Gangetic dolphin, monitor lizard and pythons. On arrival check in to the hotel with rest of the day free to enjoy a long Jungle walk. Dinner and overnight at Chitwan national Park.
Day 05: Royal Chitwan National Park
After breakfast enjoy jungle safari on the back of Elephant. Later visit to the village near by before you return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Chitwan national Park.
Day 06: Departure from Kathmandu
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and transfer to Kathmandu airport where you board flight for your onward journey.
