Day 01: Arrive Delhi
The Group will be welcomed by our tour Manager at the airport arrival lounge with TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS signboard. Transfer to hotel where you receive a traditional welcome with Garland and Tilak while the hotel formalities is completed. Rest of the day is at leisure with overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After enjoying the breakfast and brief introduction of the city tour be ready to explore the capital of kingdoms and empires which now a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and present. In the first half of sightseeing trip we visit Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, India gate, drive past Parliament and President Palace before we head towards Chandni Chok to enjoy rickshaw ride and glamour of silver street. Afternoon at leisure with overnight at hotel.(B,D).
Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur (258 kms / 5 hrs)
Today we travel to Jaipur to enjoy the magic of this world renowned pink city which makes golden triangle. Enjoy afternoon strolling in the colourful market and witness local man wearing differently style of colourful turban describing there clan and women in the there beautiful mirror jaded colourful clothes. The local bazaars sell embroidered leather shoes, blue pottery, tie and dye scarves and other exotic wares. Beautifully laid out gardens and parks, attractive monuments and marvellous heritage hotels, once the residence of Maharaja’s are worth admiration. Overnight at hotel.(B,D)
Day 04: Jaipur (Elephant Ride)
After enjoying our breakfast we take an excursion to Amber Fort, add a magical touch to the visit by riding on the back of an elephant from the foot of the hill up to the gates of the fortress in the manner of former kings and queens provided elephant are available on the day. Set in a picturesque location the Fort is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Afternoon enjoy city tour and visit the Maharaja's City Palace, the home of the erstwhile royal family, the Observatory, Hawa Mahal also known as (Wind Palace) built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and drive past the old part of Jaipur city. Day 05: Jaipur – Agra (232 kms / 4 hrs 30 mins)
Today we start our journey to visit most adorable monument of Love the only Taj Mahal. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri also known as the abandoned city of Mughasl, our local tour leader will tell the interesting birth story of this beautiful city as why the place was chosen to built the whole city and what leads to the desertion. Rest of the afternoon at leisure with overnight at hotel.(B,D)
Day 06: Agra
We pay a sunrise visit to the immortal Taj Mahal, the inimitable poem in white marble is the first expression of love of an Emperor Shahjahan for his queen Mumtaz Mahal. This great monument was completed in 1653 AD. After enjoying breakfast at hotel we visit Agra Fort and Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, marble and carpet factory. Rest of the evening at leisure with overnight at hotel.(B,D)
Day 07: Agra – Cochin
Today we travel back to Delhi where we board afternoon flight to Cochin to enjoy beautiful part of south India which is very different to the north India in every aspect. Afternoon we enjoy boat ride in small canal of backwater to witness daily life of the locals and evening watch famous Kathakali dance show in theatre before concluding our day with the dinner and overnight at hotel.(B,D)
Day 08: Cochin – Idduki
After leisurely breakfast we travel to Idduki and spend afternoon at leisure in a beautiful resort. Afternoon we participate in cooking authentic Kerala cuisine demonstrations with the home grown vegetables, after enjoying lunch you are free to take stroll.
Day 09: Idduki
Have a breakfast and enjoy being close to nature. Afternoon take a walk in the spice garden or relax at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.(B,D)
Day 10: Idduki – Munnar
Today we travel to Munnar which used to be the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India. It still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, most of which are privately owned. We stay in the resort located in the centre of cardamom plantation and built in Keralite traditional architecture ‘Nalukettu’ and fully equipped with the modern amenities. Enjoy walking through the spice plantation, tramping, bird watching and interacting with locals with overnight stay at hotel.(B,D)
Day 11: Munnar
Enjoy your leisurely breakfast as the day is free for your own activities. Optionally you could visit the tea museum, take a short trip to the Eravikulam National Park (home to the endangered Nilgiri Thar mountain goat amongst others) or simply walk through the enchanting tea estates and enjoy the tranquillity it provides while watching women plucking the tea laves at the tea estates. Stay overnight at hotel.(B,D)
Day 12: Munnar – Thekkady (100 kms / 2 hrs)
Today we travel to Periyar, an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations and elephant sightings. Afternoon we enjoy wildlife safari on the boat around the Periyar Lake and spice plantation tour today where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets. Overnight at hotel.(B,D)
Day 13: Backwater Cruise
We travel to Kumarakom and embark Kettuvallam, our traditional deluxe backwater cruise and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. The houseboats are equipped with fully loaded Kitchen, bedroom with ensuite bathroom and experience chef and valet who looks after our needs while we pamper our self. Enjoy cruising, witness daily life of the people who travel in canoes and vegetable sellers, fishermen and other traders bringing household goods door to door in small wooden boats. Day 14: Alleppey – Kovalam (175 kms / 04 hrs)
Wake up with the chirruping noise of the birds, enjoy your breakfast before we disembark and travel to Kovalam to enjoy beautiful beach holiday with Ayurveda massage. Shimmering silver sands, palm fringed beaches and boundless blue waters, come together for you to give an exquisite experience and sense of well-being in Kovalam. Rest of the day at leisure with overnight at beach resort.(B)
Day 15: Kovalam
After leisurely breakfast we visit to girl’s school and an orphanage for girls in Trivandrum. Afternoon enjoy basis Ayurveda massage and relax at the hotel or optionally take an Ayurveda treatment to rejuvenate yourself. Overnight at beach resort.(B,D)
Day 16: Kovalam
Today you can enjoy optionally Ayurveda treatment and relax at the hotel or visit to a dance school where girls get training on classical dances like Mohiniyattom and Bharatanatiyam. Afternoon at leisure with overnight at beach resort.(B,D)
Day 17: Trivandrum Departure
After leisurely breakfast afternoon transfer to the Trivandrum airport to board flight for your onwards destination. (B)
